Mark R. Rivard is a former PGA Golf Professional with a long-standing passion for golf and a diverse career. He began playing golf at the age of eight in his small hometown in North Central Michigan, where his love for the sport grew. As a teenager, he played competitively, continuing his involvement with golf through college and during his service in the US Army from 1969 to 1971. In 1974, Mark became a PGA Golf Professional and spent the next 30 years teaching nearly 30,000 golf lessons to players of all skill levels.

In addition to his teaching career, Mark is the inventor of a putting aid called “The PuttingTemplate” created in 2003 to help golfers improve their putting skills. In 2008, he shifted his focus to the insurance industry, joining his wife in co-owning CCIS Insurance Group, a retail agency based in Fresno, CA.

Now at the age of 77, Mark continues to play golf regularly and writes sparingly, staying active in both golf and his insurance business. His long career in golf, teaching, and entrepreneurship has made him a well-rounded and respected figure in his community.
